June Come and Gone

Wow…another month done! and its a July already. Summer is officially here and 4th July Weekend is almost upon us!

June was a good month overall, hubby got a job and is working now. While the hours are not ideal (12-9pm) it is a job and will give him some sales experience in the field which was much needed. With his schedule I adjusted my schedule, so I can make sure get as much time together during the weekends as we can.

I did my first trail run race this month and just this last Monday did my first trail training run with the KC Mudbabes on the mountain bike trails at Shawnee Mission Park. I hope to get my trail shoes this weekend so I can do more trail runs moving forward. Here part of the great awesome 12-pack as Sophia put it as we try a fierce…ok…crazy maybe, pose! (I’m third from your right with fuel belt on)

Here are my June stats. I’ve also started to track monthly totals so I keep better account of myself :)

Cross Training – 9:50 hrs
Strength Training – 6:15 hrs
Running – 33.39 Miles, 7:22:22 hrs

Have an awesome 4th of July Weekend and hope everyone is doing all kind of fun things. As for me its some quality time spent with the hubby and maybe a 4th of July cupcake or two :)

  1. My wife and I have been on opposite schedules for some time now - it takes some getting used to, but is manageable if you're willing to rearrange some other things in your life to make the most of your time together.

    Enjoy the holiday weekend!

  2. Wow that cupcake looks good.

I wish I was better organized at keeping track of my workouts. Right now, they are willy-nilly on my blog.

  3. The golden standard for the iced tea is the brand "Good Host."

I'm in the Northland. KCMO seems to have essentially no budget for parks and rec. There is a path (~1 mile long) nearby, but I have to run for a mile on the streets to get there. It's somewhat ridiculous. But, I realize that it's just cultural, and there aren't enough people around here who would make use of appropriate facilities. So, my wife and I frequently go to Parkville, as they have a couple of decent parks and walking paths.

  4. I remember my days - right out of college - when I used to run the park. Good memories.
Congrats on a very successful month!

  5. Nice going keeping up with the monthly totals. I keep saying I'm going to do that, but I haven't, although Garmin does a pretty good job of that for me, I just have to pull up the stats!

    Oooooooooohhhhh. I love cupcakes!

    Have a happy 4th!
